It is a modern company, orientated towards the future but with a remarkable past. Thilo Muhle has run the company since 2007; he succeeds his father and is the fifth generation of the Muhle family to run the company. Muhle-Glashutte timepieces are already being sold in over 400 outlets in Germany alone and this does not include the large number of outlets abroad. Although Muhle-Glashutte is traditionally associated with precision nautical instruments, this is reflected in the name "Muhle-Glashutte GmbH nautische Instrumente und Feinmechanik" it is the successful wristwatch manufacturing business that now has the greatest prominence. The philosophy behind our watches is simple: form follows function. Our watches have a lot of character but are still unembellished; they are precision instruments for measuring time. Our strengths and our tradition is in building instruments that are reliable, strong and functional. We have 4 wristwatch lines ranging from sportive to elegant and are named as follows; Nautical Wristwatches, Classical Timepieces, Sporty Instrument Watches and Limited Special Editions.
